Dr. Alys Brangwin, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Alys Brangwin brings over a decade of veterinary experience and a lifelong passion for animal care to her work. A graduate of Motavia University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she began her career in a busy city practice in Aiedo before establishing Brangwin Animal Health, where she leads a small and dedicated team that focuses on compassionate, comprehensive care for pets of all kinds.

Known for her calm confidence and decisive approach in high-pressure situations, Dr. Brangwin has earned a reputation for handling even the most challenging cases with both skill and empathy. Her special interests include preventive medicine, surgical care, and animal behavior, and she is especially proud of mentoring new veterinarians who are beginning their own journeys in animal health.

When she is not in the clinic, Alys enjoys spending time outdoors. She often spends her weekends hiking the rocky plateaus near her hometown, training with her German Shepherd mix, Gryz, or relaxing with her son, Chaz, who shares her love of exploration and curiosity. Her friends say she brings the same energy and sense of adventure to her personal life that she does to her work, always encouraging others to pursue what inspires them.

With her thoughtful leadership, compassion for animals, and steady dedication to her patients, Dr. Brangwin remains a trusted and beloved part of the community she serves.

Dr. Albert Wily, DVM, PhD

Veterinarian

Dr. Albert Wily combines an analytical mind with decades of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine and biological sciences. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Light Institute of Technology, where his early research focused on the use of precision tools in surgical procedures and advanced diagnostic systems.

After years of practice and teaching, Dr. Wily joined Brangwin Animal Health to bring his unique perspective on clinical innovation and patient care. He is known for his methodical approach, inventive treatment plans, and deep curiosity about the mechanics of healing. Colleagues often describe him as “brilliantly unconventional,” and his creative problem-solving has helped restore countless pets to full health.

Outside the lab and exam room, Dr. Wily enjoys tinkering with small machines, building model robots, and working in his home workshop. He also is a member of a local blues band, The Robot Masters, where he plays the bass. Despite his sharp wit and eccentric personality, he cares deeply for his patients and has a soft spot for older animals in need of extra attention.

Those who know him well say his mind is always moving, always experimenting, and always looking for the next way to improve the lives of animals and their owners.

Dr. Lucca Ashtear, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Lucca Ashtear brings a strong blend of analytical thinking and compassionate care to her role at Brangwin Animal Health. A graduate of the Light Institute of Technology’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, she developed an early interest in the intersection of technology and medicine while studying alongside colleague Dr. Albert Wily. That passion led her to join the Brangwin team, where she focuses on innovative diagnostics and surgical care.

Known for her thoughtful approach and enthusiasm for complex cases, Dr. Ashtear thrives when problem-solving requires creativity and new technology. Her professional interests include diagnostic medicine, surgical innovation, and rehabilitation, and she is especially motivated by helping pets and their owners navigate recovery and preventive care with confidence.

Outside the clinic, Lucca enjoys cycling through the countryside, experimenting with personal technology projects, and volunteering her time teaching science to children. She shares her home with her cat, Robo, and values maintaining a healthy balance between her professional dedication and personal fulfillment.

With her curiosity, technical skill, and genuine empathy, Dr. Ashtear is a valued and trusted member of the Brangwin Animal Health team.
